SEFRUNWAY (SRW) is an Agency (formerly a platform) of independent Models, Fashion Designers, Makeup Artists, Hair Stylists, Shoe designers and Artisans created out of the SEF project to promote and increase economic development in the area of modelling, Fashion, shoe design, clothing merchandising, face make overs, haircut and styling.
SRW was officially unveiled during the CYON 2018 Dinner/Awards on the 2nd of December, 2018 and had her Season 2 Fashion Night on 15th December, 2019 at The Berachah Place Ungwan Boro, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna.
OBJECTIVES: The Agency hopes to assist designers, stylists, fashion photographers, model and young artisans to compete in the Global Fashion and Business Market through trainings, partnerships, networking and event management. To enable us achieve this goal, the following objectives were set out:
By identifying and engaging potential brands for partnership.
By identifying and grooming models to work with the Agency.
By holding engagement and planning meeting with both brands and models.
By holding rehearsals at least once a week.
By conducting pre-runway activities such as designing of apparels for exhibition, photo shoot, dress fitting, runway rehearsals, make up, hair styling and hair cut etc.
By organizing fashion exhibition events periodically.
By participating in external fashion and non-fashion events.
By managing events and corporate jobs.
SEFRUNWAY ACTIVIITIES: A total of 45 models were auditioned on 27th July, 2019 at Monaghan’s Hall with 25 of them who scaled through which we saw 20 of them walk the runway.
A total number 8 brand participated in the grand finale amidst 15 that were contacted.
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS: SEFRUNWAY Provided a market and business opportunity for 18 Vendors to sell their goods/services at both events.
Supported a graduated SEF Project student (Anthony Gabriel) to unveil his brand (FLYGENTS) designs who made his fashion statement during at the runway.
Provided a platform for SEF fashion school instructors and other entrepreneurs to grow their brands and showcase their works.
Built relationship with 19 partners which led to the successfully execution of the SRW S2 event.
Provided a platform for all brands and partners who showcased their products and services via the SRW platform.
Empowered 25 models with the knowledge and skills in modelling and assertiveness (confident in behaviour and style).
Increased the market and patronage of brands’ products and services due to the Post SRW effect and social media presence via thrillers and post cards.
Partnered with Baerockz Magazine, Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF) 2019, Channels TV, Lionel Likita and Kaduna Fashion and Art (KAFART) 2019 events.
Conferred four merits Awards to outstanding individuals and organizations who have contributed to Youths and Community development as well as humanitarian response. This sprang up a relationship with these stakeholders for future partnership.
SEFRUNWAY is fast growing and this only means that they have money to offer come 2020.
